1979-85 Rear Bumper Changes?

I'm looking at replacing my factory gray step bumper on my 1979 with a chrome smooth style bumper off a 1985. Will it bolt up without any mods?. LMC lists two different part numbers for their bumpers from 1973-80 and 81-87

The bumper brackets are bumper year specific not frame year specific, the only reason they are different is because of the contour or the bumper. If you put a 85 bumper on your 79 you need the 81-87 brackets.
