How long have you owned your truck(s)
Got the idea from the thread about your age when your truck was built.
Anyway, I'm the second owner. Third if you count the dealer. I bought it in 1989. Replacement bed. Was ochre/white. Feel free to show picks. Here's one of mine over a year ago. It's currently being disassembled. https://scontent-sjc2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...7d&oe=57521A24 |

I bought my 71 on March 19 of 1886! Almost 30 years ago, man how time flies.:chevy:

The only one I have left, till I build the '67, I've had for 15 years on Memorial Day. This picture was my last stop in WVA on the way home with it

We bought our 69 new on Nov. 20,1969, and had a new camper mounted the next day. The picture below was taken about a week later in a National Forest campground near Big Bear Lake in Southern California.

Check out First Owner. Amazing truck. Those pics I see under the hood on occasion, is that the truck? Whatever it is it's pristine. BTW, what did you pay for your truck and camper? How much a night to camp? |

Regarding price... When I asked the dealer why there wasn't a window sticker, I was told the 3/4 ton and up trucks did not require them. I believe that was true in 1969. I don't recall the exact suggested retail, but it was between $4100 and $4200. We paid $3425 for the truck and $1675 for the camper. Not bad for a loaded CST with buckets and A/C (but no gauges ). Below are pictures of the pertinent portion of the sales contract for the truck, another of the truck and camper taken near Big Bear Lake in southern California taken a couple weeks after delivery and 2 under hood shots taken in 2010 just before I started the 3 year frame-off resto. I think the only things under the hood that were not original in 2010 were the alternator, heater fan, water pump, plugs, plug wires, belts, hoses, and hot water shutoff valve. Even the R12 refrigerant was mostly original. The starter was original but rebuilt. The current engine is a GM performance Parts 350/330HP. Of course, I still have the original engine and other items I removed to upgrade with options available on 1967 to 1972 trucks. Upgrades are AM/FM, tilt, gauges with tach, and shoulder belts. The instrument cluster also includes an 80s Chevy truck clock. I'm currently running chrome Hummer H2 wheels but have also restored the original wheels. |

Re: How long have you owned your truck(s)
250 miles a year since the restore huh? I'll probably top that, by a little bit.
$5100 for a new truck and camper in 1969. That's 5% what the same would cost today. |

I will have had my '71 for 4 years this April. The first pic is right when I got it home, and the second pic is from a few months ago. This truck really did get saved from the grave, the PO had bought it as a parts truck and robbed all of the good parts off of it, and he was going to scrap it but his wife convinced him to piece it back together to try to get more money out of it. I have since put thousands into it, and don't regret any of it.

I got my 1st 68 in 1974. Drove it all through high school. Built a 1963 corvette 327 in school in 77 and put it in the 68. I could fry the tires at will. Sorry that is the only picture I could find circa 1980. Spent the next 30 yrs. playing with corvettes. Started searching for a 67 C-10 in Dec. 2014 & bought my blue 67 12 hours from me in BC. Got home a Saturday night. Looked on Kijiji an kinda Canadian Craigslist and found the maroon truck that Sunday. It had been listed 7 min. when I called and it was 20 min. from me. My wife said you better not buy that. I took it as a dare.

A little over 5 years. I've put over 25000 miles on it, which isn't bad considering the short New England season.

I've owned mine for 14 years. My grandfather drug it out of a field and turned it into his 'toy' in 1990. My dad gave it to me in 2002 after my grandfather passed away, after it had sat for about 5 years. It was definitely 'old school' when I got it, and I drove it that way for 7 years. My tastes are a little different than PawPaw's  and I changed it up a bit.
