Pete,
I think member Dave rebuilds speakers. I have an under bed spare carrier if you need it. |
Re: Looking for OEM under dash speaker and OEM spare carrier
Thanks guys! Replied to the thread. Mike, thanks for the offer - am chasing the inside spare carrier that Dwayne sent link to. For the speaker it's mostly the brackets and grill I need.

Thanks - that's the in-dash example seen in pickups and some 72 K5s. The one I'm after goes underneath the dash and looks like this:

Re: Looking for OEM under dash speaker and OEM spare carrier
There are two styles for the speaker brackets, AC vs. non-AC applications - I'd be interested in either.

Re: Looking for OEM under dash speaker and OEM spare carrier
Hey Pete, wasn't ignoring your earlier message just had 16 messages to reply back to when I logged in this evening. It would be a no on the spare tire carrier but a maybe on the blazer under dash speaker. We have some hard to find blazer specific stuff rat holed away for a Canadian customer that makes the big upcoming Portland swapmeet annually. He cleans us out every year so you may be just in time, I think there are still two OE blazer speakers in with this group of stuff and I had only mentioned having one to him. Will have a look and check back in here tomorrow, Mel. :chevy:

This is the original from my 70 blazer, radio worked. I pulled the grill and the cone looks really good, moves easily, no cracks... Nice!!

Re: Looking for OEM under dash speaker and OEM spare carrier
Bryan thank you - I'll take the carrier and the speaker!
As an aside, the speaker from your 70 has threaded nutserts to affix to the dash to the left of the controls for a non-AC application and/or was the early version GM used; the brackets shown in posts #'s 6 and 14 above lack the nutserts and are examples used for AC applications and mounted making use of the controller screws. I'm still trying to figure out what's what with the two bracket styles. PM sent. Pete |
