65-66 K20 4x4 chassis or project
 

Hey all,
I'm still looking for a complete 65 or 66 K20 4x4 chassis or rusty project truck. I'm just wanting the original frame, axles, trans/tcase. If there is an original motor thats fine. I do not want a complete daily driver or anything nice. I won't be using the body just the drivetrain and chassis.

Please let me know if you have or know of something.

Its a tad more than what i want to spend on the stuff i need. The body on the truck adds more value than i would pay.
I found exactly what I'm looking for in wyoming on craiglist for 800 but by the time i called someone already snagged the trans and t-case.
I have time to be a little patient.

Are you only wanting the trans and T-case?
I may have one for sale soon. 3spd manual and factory T-case from my '62.
Stock rear axle assembly too, if you need that.

Brad, Thank you for the inquiry. I've gathered a couple trans/tcases already so right now i'm mainly looking for a rollin chassis or complete truck with a junk body on it. Im just gonna hold out for a 65 or 66. I appreciate the info tho. Good luck.

I did pretty much the same thing: I bought a '62 K10 for the chassis. (Gotta have that wrap-around windshield and knee-knocker cab!) The body is nothing but dents and rust, held together by holes.
My son saw the body, and said "well... the dash is good, I guess."

I've got everything but a good cab for it already.
Gonna keep the front axle and springs, 90-percent sure I'm going with an NP205 transfer case and will run a 4spd OD manual trans. I've also got a line on a GMC Dana 44 rear end. Nothing on it is really hard-core as far as 4x4 trucks go, but I'm going to use it for construction sites and getting back into some hunting and fishing areas, and maybe light off-roading.

I have what you are looking for but in a 64 factory k20. It has the original drivetrain with a jasper 292. The cab and doghouse are junk but matching vin plate. It has been sitting a long time but drivetrain is complete. I would take $1500 for it. I was going to put my 65 Dually on it but have changed my mind. I don't have any pictures on my iPad but can send you some to an email address tomorrow. If you are interested. The truck is near Frankfort, KY.

From the pic the front end looks too be newer?

I have a 64 3/4 ton chassis that I will let go It is all original except has warn hubs. It is set up with V8 motor mounts. Send me a pm with email and I will see about getting some photos this weekend if you are interested. Thanks Lyle
