'72 Custom Deluxe Highlander C10
I am new to your board, but have been involved with 67-72 Chevy trucks for many years. I just wanted to tell about my newest truck, which I picked up last night after trying to buy it for over 20 years.
She is a '72 Custom Deluxe C10, has been owned by the same family since brand new AND was bought new right here in my home town of Holden, MO. It has lived here its entire life. She has 113,xxx original miles, has had only 1 repaint and is otherwise completely original. PS, PB, AC, Tilt, door edge guards, chrome front & rear bumpers, as mentioned in the title it is a Highlander, package C. I am very proud to be her 2nd owner. I got it fired up today for the first time in 20 years. Not sure how to post pictures from my computer here yet. |

Brent welcome to the boards and the Highlander Club . Looks like you have a very nice unmolested original there. It even has the original wheel covers on it which are usually long gone. There is a big thread on this site dedicated to Highlanders ( http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...635040&page=23 ) and it would be great if you would post pictures of your truck and spid label in the thread. In that thread post # 38 has lots of specific info on the Highlander.

Re: '72 Custom Deluxe Highlander C10
Thank you! That particular thread was a lot of help to me over the weekend as I was trying to decode everything on the truck to see what all was factory.
It is missing one of the wheel covers unfortunately. But it even has the original wood bed floor. I intend to get it running, do some general tune up and replace tires, and this is going to be my daily driver. |
Re: '72 Custom Deluxe Highlander C10
Nice truck! Plus it is a really nice color! Just so everyone knows this is a 505 Dark Green (non-metallic) in the Deluxe Two-Tone, not often seen. Avocado Plaid and a wood bed round it out nicely.
Brent, Just in case you missed it there are dedicated threads on Highlander Plaid Pickups, Blazers and Suburbans. Links are in my signature below. If you get a clearer SPID picture I'd love to see it posted there. |

Here is just a bit if the contrast after a little elbow grease. I'm very happy with what I am seeing after polishing a bit.
