Hickey gone out of business again?
 

Anybody tried to reach Erik from Hickey lately? His phone number is disconnected and I get no return emails from his website. His PM here under Mid Dunes is full. I talked to him 1.5 months ago and all seemed good. I'm Bummed out, I am looking for a family roll bar from him ASAP. Anybody have other suggestions for similar style?

Makes me wonder more about how he's doing than how the business is doing. I hope he hasn't met with an ill fate. I would think he would have been here to inform us of what has happened.

I asked the same question a few weeks ago. eBay is funny with new manufactured parts. Lots of people I know have been kicked of for selling "homemade" stuff. Not that that's what he was doing but tough to have internet parts biz without eBay. Hope he's okay. Google searched him and came up with phone number might give him a call. Matt

I hope he's ok... I bought a rear tire carrier, roof rack and roll bar, it doesn't seem like him too just drop everything without an explanation. really nice guy

I agree! When I talked to him last he was going through a D with the his wife and she had his passwords for his account on here. Definitely hope he is O.K.! I have tried calling, and emailing no response.

If he's going through a divorce, that could tell a lot. Even if Ebay pulled his stuff, he would be here. His stuff is manufactured by an established business, so Ebay wouldn't consider it home made. At least I assumed he got all the rights to the Hickey brand and logo and made a business from it.

I text him yesterday and no response. Hopefully his divorce won't be as brutal as mine was last year. I owned a 63 corvette since 1985. My first car bought it 15 years before I got married. When my ex finally clued in that she wasn't entitled to half, she convinced the judge that I had to pay for a new paint job on her 10 year old Jetta because my car was garaged and hers suffered uv damage. This was after she accused me of child abuse and had the kids taken away for 45 days until I could get a court date. Now I pay $2100 a month in support to the woman who cheated on me with the guy she met in church. Rant over

I'm sorry to here. Had similiar things happen too me. The man upstairs really knows whats going on. Hang in there it gets better over time. 10 years now and my girls and I are really close....

same thing here. nothing. have a deposit on a front cover and my 73-91 cadillac carrier is with him to reproduce. getting nervous. hope all is well.

I received a email last week from Eric saying they're re-structuring the company. Should be back up and going around June.

Divorces suck, I went through one at 20. Eric seems like a good guy hopefully things pan out for him.

Man I don't even know him and I feel bad for the guy. Seemed like he was doing good with the Hickey thing.

I hear ya. Went through the big d myself 30 yrs ago. B%&#@ cleaned me out for 100K then had the balls to ask me financial help a couple of years ago. Karma.......shes a well you know ;)
