1980 GMC Crew cab Dually Omaha (not mine)

Ok. Mow that I have convinced myself that I don't want this, I will share. :metal:

This truck is super straight, 90% rust free and well worth the money. I comb CL for squares and look at about 3 a month. this is a good one. i was in Omaha this week and laid my hands on it. I do believe it to be under 100K and I don't think the motor has been apart. It is 2WD.

if i bought it I would put a dash in it, maybe front door panels, recover the seats and drive it.

Its been for sale for quite a while. I've been talking with that gentleman for over 2 months. Actually he had it for sale about 4 months ago and he said he sold it too a buddy, but bought it back. The problem I have with the truck is i've seen it for sale now from 3 different owners within a year! That makes me cautious.
You never mention the massive amount of hail damage on the hood. Its smoked!
It is a 2wd. The guy seems like a nice guy and he does need to move it. He offered it too me way less than what its advertised but certain things just don't line up for me. The "just got back from a 9 hour drive" was over 4 months ago.
It is pretty clean for the age but it is starting to show signs of every typical crew cab. Some of the pics i seen of the underside of the doors looked questionable too me also.
All in all a good truck. Just wanted to give my .02 for a potential buyer.

I thought 81 was the first year for a 454 k30? Should have a 400 sbc?

It is a C30 (no 4x4 shifter on floor) so the 454 is likely correct.Good color...truck looks in decent shape for the year.Price is about right.

It is likely the 400 small block that was available up until 1980.The only big block in trucks after 73 is a 454.

Could you please share some pics of what you have especially the interior slimsbulls@gmail.com ? I'm switching to this exact color scheme and trying to get it close to what it would look like from factory...

Thanks,
Slim
