No power from the battery

Ok, I installed a new battery the other day and the truck fire right up. Now it has no power, and even on jumper cables or a charger, the truck is getting no power. Ideas?

Did you re-connect the wire from the positive post on the battery to the junction block on the fender? If so make sure it is making good contact.(remove nut and clean terminals) If not, hook it up. That is your main power wire to the fuse block.

Sounds to me like your fusible link is toast. time to get out the test light or volt meter!!

Cdowns great advice! Although if the truck ran fine after the battery was installed it means he hooked it up right. But thanks for the trouble shooting tip ;).

Hugh there's a fuse coming from the battery to the inner fender wall. Check that first because that supplies power to the truck and if that is not it clean up the cables and battery posts. If she still doesn't power up then grab the wiring diagram from this forum and start from the battery and start testing wires to see if there's power to them. You will need a multimeter which are cheap and fairly easy to use. I'll try to find the wire diagrams for you. Keep us posted, I had this problem a couple weeks ago.

Here's the thread, sorry I can't edit my post above me. My phone is acting up. This diagram is very nice for this because a board member color coded it.
