Wtb a few items
Hello, Im looking for a few items for my 1986 k2500 diesel. Its for a daily driver/ work truck so the condition only needs to be in good usable condition. The parts will be going to Canada in case thats a problem.
1: bucket seat towers "two supports welded to floor" 2: hand throttle 3: diesel tach Im sure I'll add a few more items as I get more familiar with the squarebody. Thanks for your time Josh |
Re: Wtb a few items
I have (2) big truck series diesel tach clusters correct for 1981-up trucks. These will be a drop in upgrade for your existing cluster. I'll send ya a PM.

Re: Wtb a few items
Very cool, thanks. Do you have any of the wiring for the tach? Does it go to the altenator?

Re: Wtb a few items
I have the pigtail for it....I'll need to look for the tach harness-Im not 100% sure where the signal needs to go....I'll dig thru my manuals.

Re: Wtb a few items
You an also use a Dakota Digital DSL 1 for the tach signal if you have an alternator with a tachometer output. Or this is what I used for my truck with a Cummins Diesel and an Autometer electric tachometer.

Re: Wtb a few items
Darn. As 4000 rpm would be enough for my weak 454.

Re: Wtb a few items
Thanks again for your input 1774btcrew, I believe all altenators can be tapped for a tach. But you still need to use the dakota box to read the signal. Thats how I plan to hook up mine when the time comes. I've seen the pictures for the 6.2 diesel setup but Im not sure if the big trucks used the same setup.
