1972 Blazer vin tag information

Has anyone seen the information on this vin tag under the actual vin number ? I am interested in finding out what exactly the CF 72 179 4 72 is.

If I remember correctly a couple of years ago I blazer was being sold on ebay that had info like that. I don't know if they ever discovered what it was but might be worth doing a search in here for it.

Clearly it is a GM applied contract number and delivery month/year. Beyond that I can't tell you much. What does the SPID look like?

The glovebox cover is missing. I figured the 4 72 was the assembly month and year but not sure on the cf 179.
