sending unit ?

My neighbor gave me a 25 gallon aluminum fuel tank it is old but will fit my 64. The sending unit is shot. Will this unit from ebay do the trick as for as ohms?

According to the specifications listed in the ebay ad that sending unit would match a factory fuel gauge for your truck.
