Did any 69-72 K10/20's not have locking hubs?

I've noticed most 4x4 SPID's have locking hubs listed- were they an option? Seems like all the K10/20's pictured on here have locking hubs- may be a stupid question

The 3/4 ton had drive flanges or lockouts , see pics.

Thanks

Yes, they were an option. Just like automatic transmissions till recently. Almost all vehicles came with automatic but it was still like a $1,000 option. At least when I ordered my '92 it was. I opted for the 5spd manual and that option took $1,000 off the price.

So, you could get a 4x4 with full time four wheel drive?- hubs that don't engage/disengage

The drive flanges in above pics is what the 3/4 ton had if you didn't have lockout hubs , so yes hubs were locked but the T-case still had 2wd . Gm didn't use the full time Np203 T-case until 1973.

Yep this is correct. Dodge and jeep do and have done the same thing on there solid front axles for a long time. Even some late model gm stuff have the front differential locked in all the time. My 01 suburban with the auto 4x4 does. My K/20 didn't have hubs from the factory but is seems over the years many of the trucks with out factory hubs have gotten after markets or used spicers.
