Short Bed Topper / New project truck
 

Well, after 14 years of wanting to buy it and 8 years of sitting I am the proud owner of my Grandfather's 84 GMC C1500. It's an odd little duckling as former California Dept of Water Resources truck. Short bed 2wd with a 6.2/700r4. I need to start a build thread to document pulling it out of the woods and snow to fire it up after 8 years of hibernation.

Anyways, I'm making this quick post to offer a topper for a short bed for free to anyone that wants it. It fits well, but I'm not digging it on my truck and have since installed a roll up tonneau cover. I'm no longer a paid member so I can't post in classifieds and there is no asking price, it is absolutely free to anyone that wants to come and get it, otherwise it will be cut up an disposed of in May (yearly spring cleanup/free trash hauling by the city). I will gladly supply cold drinks to consume after loading the topper if needed.

I'll also start a build thread as the truck looks much better after a good power washing (after this picture), and my plans are to keep it stockish, with maybe a 2.5/4 drop later down the road while keeping the stock steelies.
