Is it really worth doing coil-overs vs static?

Just curious what the major benefits are to dropping a few grand on a coil over system instead of just doing a static drop? Ride? Performance? Durability?

Adjustability, do you plan on autocrossing your truck? If not, don't bother with coil overs. Just my $.02.

Don't plan on doing autocross, but I am going to be pushing good HP (500+) so want to make sure suspension is up to par. Still not worth it?

For everyday street driving and not a drag/autocross/racing truck... not worth it.

Invest in good front and rear sway bars and you'll be fine no matter your HP.

I'm with everyone else. If you don't plan to race it. It's not really worth the cost. Although for the rear it will really let you dial in your launch if you tend to get on it every once in awhile.
