Locating Fuel Sending Wire coming out of the bulkhead
1 Attachment(s)
I had a friend rework my heads and in the process I lost my fuel gauge. It is pegged past full. I traced the wire for the tank up to the bulkhead and it was cut. I need to find where it goes thru the bulkhead. What color and location on the bulkhead. It worked great before. I looked at tons of wire schematics and non really showed it on the engine side of the firewall. Help. 1972 GMC Jimmy 350/350

Re: Locating Fuel Sending Wire coming out of the bulkhead
Is your tank behind your seat in the stock location?
The sending unit wire is a lighter tan color and runs from the tank sending unit under the driver side door sill and then to the under dash fuse panel and hooks to where it says "Fuel GA" Unless I'm not understanding something, not sure how messing with your cylinder heads had any effect on a wire inside the cab. |

oh i see now you have a jimmy....not sure on this, but i'd assume the fuel wire still doesn't go into the engine bay....i would think it runs from the tank to the fuse panel under the dash inside..
I stand to be corrected. |

That's the brake light warning wire that goes to the combination valve.
