Calculating Hydroboost Travel

I wanted to see if anyone knows the best way to calculate the range of travel needed for a hydroboost pushrod? The hydroboost I have is off of an astro van and I have already measured the astro pedal to make sure to get the ratio the same, but now I don't know exactly where to set the pedal to allow for enough travel without putting the pedal too high. Hopefully this makes sense. Any help would be appreciated.
thanks!

The push rod inside the boost unit is 3-1/8 so it can't travel further than that, I would say as long as your 4" off the floor with the brake pedal returned your good.

Revisiting this - so are you saying the linear travel distance could be up to 3-1/4"? Will the m/c travel that far? Here are 2 pics of mine - at rest and when I depress the pedal. I only get ~1" of travel - it could go a little further but it is very hard to push. Steve, what did you end up with? -Bob

Never mind - found my issue - but now I need to find a shorter bullet spacer (to space out the HB rod to the MC. The one that comes with the MCPV-1 is ~1-1/4" long and I need ~9/16".
