My buddy just purchased a low mileage K20 4x4 pickup. What are the correct style and size wheels and correct hubcaps that he needs?

17.5" and 19.5" wheels. 4x4's did not come from the factory with hubcaps but many people add them.

Re: 1966 K20 4x4 wheel and hubcap questions

He has several options for wheels , assuming lock ring wheels are out ? 16.5x8 is another and what ClassicV6GMC stated 17.5 and 19.5. But whatever wheel he wants will have to be a clip style wheel to get a correct 1966 only 8 3/4 hubcap. Heres some hubcap info http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=702839 .
I put hubcaps on my 66 , it just looks more complete but with some of my others Im just going without. Heres what they look like on 16.5x8s.

Interesting that the wheels on that second truck are painted body color.

Look carefully, it's a two-tone, therefore gets the body color wheels.

Like Aero pointed out , all, " Chevy two tones" received main body color wheels as described here. For Chevy , a lot of guys doing restorations are painting their wheels White. I've never seen a factory paint Chevy , with white wheels. White rims are a GMC paint regulation, seems all GMC wheels are white.

Here is one more option for wheels that I thought might be helpful. Factory Stock made some clip rims and describes it here.

Thanks for all the info. I know split rims are out, so he has a few options to start looking for. J
