I believe it is an original 3/4 ton. Cobalt came by last night 10/3/03 and checked it out when he was picking up a grill he bought. The gross weight sticker read 6000 gross isn't that 3/4 ton??? He said it has a TH400 tranny, which I didn't originally know. It does have some rust, but is restorable especially with all the new patch panels available for the suburbans now. This is what cobalt wrote:
TH400 transmission

Front sway bar and brackets.

Shift column.

Rear doors in good shape.

Bed and seats in good shape.

Dash uncut, and has some good stuff.

Good hood, front fenders.

Dana 60 8 lug coil sprung axle.

Extra gas tank under rear seat.

Original 350 that might not be a good block, but original intake, carb, heads.

I'd like to take it off your hands, but my old lady would slit my bag, and run my leg through it. I'll let folks around here know you have one though. Good luck, Jeff.

If I could get it to Texas I would buy it.

Still for sale:) If it doesn't sell soon I am thinking of parting it out. Anyone interested in any parts off of this Burb email me at Averyarc@comcast.net or PM me. I am motivated to move this Suburban.

I would be interested in the gas tank in the back seat.

To everyone who has sent me emails or PM's---I am still trying to sell this Burb, but I will only give it about a week or so and then I will start parting it out. I put everyone in line and will start emailing you guys in about a week. Thanks for all the PM's and emails, and if you need a part go ahead and email or PM me for it and I will put you in line. I also need to check what good fair prices are for this kind of stuff. Thanks and I will be talking to you all soon!!

  • Dash uncut, and has some good stuff.
  • Good hood, front fenders.

  • Extra gas tank under rear seat.
  • Original 350 that might not be a good block, but original intake, carb, heads.

To the top with all of COBALT's new info. He came by to get a grill from us and ended up teaching us more about this Burb in a few minutes then we have figured out the whole time we have had it.:banghead:

I tried to email and PM everyone I could. I will wait to hear back from guys for a few days, then offer the part to the next guy in line if I don't here. I know how frustrating it can be to have a part sold out from under you, so I will try my BEST not to do that to anyone.
Email me at Averyarc@comcast.net is wondering about any parts, this is a pretty complete vehicle. lots of parts!!!
