Ok, so for the past 15 years I've tried getting my hands on this truck. And now I finally have it. Bad thing is, I'm not 100% sure what route I should go with it. So, I'm wondering what you all think. I'm open to suggestions and opinions. It's a 72 long bed c10, 307 v8, 3spd on the floor. Original engine and trans. 38k miles on it.. top pic is how it looked when I bought it. Bottom is how it looks now.

I was thinking about lowering it, swapping in an LS and a different transmission. Upgrading some of it to more modern technology.

Sounds like a good.plan. I would try to break it into small chunks. Try to make most of it weekend projects so you can still drive it.

I'd have just suggested trading the 307 for a 4 bbl. 327/350 and upgrading to a 4 spd. or TH350/400, but if you're inclined to go LS I'll stop offering my outdated suggestions. :D Nice looking truck.

I was looking for reliability and hopefully 400+ hp. Working on a budget though. I just bought a house. Lol
