A buddy and I picked it up at a farm auction last month. $1000. I'm fixing the brakes so he can start hauling some gravel to his place. Waiting on axle seals to come in. It's a '57 even though it looks like a '58. 261, 4spd, T150.

57's had single headlights I believe. I think the truck is either a 58 or 59

That is what I thought also when I bought it but title says '57 and this truck has a bypass oil filter system and '58 would have had a full flow filter system. I must have been a very late '57 production run truck. I have since heard of one other like it.

Interesting truck.

Would be a great restoration project.

About the year, in my opinion, the first of these trucks were actually made in '57 as we all know, and I have heard of Titles stating the year they were made instead of the actual model year. It is also possible that they carried over the old oil filter systems for the very early '58's. But as mentioned, lol, it's just my opinion.
