Today is a very rainy day in my hometown - Pretoria
My Springbuck do like the cold weather http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/k...psncpzvcib.jpg I had no other option as to start the wood-burn stove http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/k...ps636x2t8p.jpg http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/k...ps0dpizgy5.jpg http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/k...psx9tc3zfz.jpg Found a toilet base dated from the 60's to use as a hand basin resevoir http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/k...pstnf33x9l.jpg Yesterday my son had to do some slashing before the winter http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/k...pscff5xszg.jpg Some of my garden 'ornaments' http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/k...pshkltvx0c.jpg |

Welcome Heinrich! Great looking restoration you have going. The cooking style wood stove reminds me of one my neighbors had years ago.
Nice place you have there. Are the springbucks pets? |

Re: Challenging 57 Apaché Restoration in SOUTH AFRICA. Not Easy !!!
Heinrich welcome..
I hate to bring this up, but the steering wheel is on the wrong side, I think it's beyond all hope. :waah: I told my kids when the belly ached about working that the only reason I had kids was for "worker bees" Didn't help, they kept wining. Good work, frame looks great! Keep on keepin on. Nut Case |

It's like building an Apache, all parts imported from the US |
Re: Challenging 57 Apaché Restoration in SOUTH AFRICA. Not Easy !!!
Thought so.
Makes it more difficult and expensive to do this kind of stuff ;) But it doesn't keep us from doing these things :metal: |
Re: Challenging 57 Apaché Restoration in SOUTH AFRICA. Not Easy !!!
Welcome, I like your truck and MX bikes.
We used to have YZ's and RM's. We don't have spring bucks in this SA (South Australia) we have kangaroos. ;) Looking forward to more on your truck build. |
Re: Challenging 57 Apaché Restoration in SOUTH AFRICA. Not Easy !!!
Nice truck and other toys! :metal:
I'm curious about you RM125. I used to have a 1981 RM125 that I bought new. It was water cooled and had a single rear shock. It had radiators under the gas tank and stickers on the swing arm that said Full Floater. I think 81' was the first year for those changes. I'm wondering if yours is actually older than 81' or some kind of weird South African version? |

Thanks for the interest In the "old" days every model that is sold in the US, the South African market only get the same model a year later So Yes it's infact a 1980 model but 1981 in SA Hope this make sense |
