Lining up new rockers
 

Anyone have any tips? I'm have a really hard time getting my fender, outer rocker, and door all in agreement with one another.

Looks to me like your door needs to go up as well as the fender.

Align the door to the B pillar first (it looks slightly low) then raise rear of fender to match.

Fender/door gap can then be adjusted by moving the front of the fender up and down.

Man, i hope so, I really don't want to cut the inner rocker out to get it to drop down more lol.

I also figured out today that the door had a bunch of bondo in it, so I ground it out so I can accurately see the body line there.

So. Line the door to the B, the rocker to the door, then the fender to both?

Pretty much that order.

I think of it as start adjusting where only one panel can move. Start as the b-pillar is "fixed" so door to b pillar (and rocker if it's still there) first.

Now your door is "fixed" so the fender is the only panel to move.

I typically do the door and fender before replacing the rocker and use them to line up a new rocker before welding it in. If your rocker is in, then you can try and persuade it if possible or just split the difference to make things fit decently.

If I ever do this nonsense again, I'll definitely screw everything together and mount the door first lol.

You think if you buy a truck in Arkansas, it'll be ok...

I would start by checking the front cab mount as a NY guy I see alot of trucks like that and the mount is shot! Good luck

The mount is new, I guess I should have mentioned that lol. It's all new, so any combination of thing's could be causing my problems.

Right now I'm waiting on GM door pins so I can line the door up.
