Master cylinder ?

I have a 86 K10 that I'm swapping out the axles from a K20. Rear is a 14b full float and the front is a 44. I'm keeping the drum brakes in the rear. Will my original master cylinder be fine or should I look at something else? What have you guys that swapped axles used? THANKS.

Re: Master cylinder ?

The stock master will run the 14ff brakes. I'm using a stock master with mine. No problems.

To take advantage of the bigger brake drum diameter on the 14b, switch from vacuum boost to hydro-boost. I've got that in my plans.

I kept my stock 86 K5 master cylinder after I swapped in the CUCV axles. I also kept the rear 13" drum brakes. When I go to crossover steering I will upgrade to hydro boost at the same time.
