Start of a journey

I've owned The Green Machine since I was 18, I'll be 30 this year. I was considering selling the truck, but I couldn't being myself to it. I couldnt sell it to anybody, because I kept hearing how they were going to lower it, put an LS motor in it, and big rims. So now I'm starting a journey of restoring this beast.

Some specs:
1971 Chevrolet C10 Custom Deluxe
Long Bed Fleetside
350ci engine Quadrajet
TH350
Light olive body, dark olive cab
Roughly 230K miles (still going like Rocky Balboa)

My plan is to keep it mostly stock. Some changes and upgrades are going to be needed to make it drive well. Tires or exhaust won't be stock. I'm hoping to get 325-350hp out of the motor, granted if it's doable. Suspension will have some upgrades, for example sway bars, possibly. The grill will be black, and rims will be black. I want to keep the paint scheme, although the body is a brighter green, I will be bringing it back to light olive.

This truck even in the condition it is in currently, still gets compliments, and head turn. I'm sad/mad that I've let this truck slide into such a condition, but now I'm going to bring it back. So, I'm hoping to take pictures, and chronicle my journey, and share it with this community.

Thanks! It was stored for a few periods of time, but wasn't totally sheltered. The underbody was sprayed by the previous owner. It has some spots of rust, but overall it's a solid truck.
