Whats this plug for?

I have an 87 GMC and removed the radio today and afterward this plug caught my eye. It has a purple and pink w/purple line wires to it. I looked at wiring diagrams online and can't find it. Any help is appreciated.

Yep! To expand on the other poster's answer, it's the 12v+ feed to the torque converter lockup for 700R4 transmissions. Brake pedal application breaks the circuit, removing 12v+, and unlocking the converter. If you have a TH400, it will still be in the harness, but unplugged.
