I have no throttle responce dbw
 

I have a dbw that's not working, truck starts and idles fine but i have no throttle,I have checked wiring and made sure pins are in the right spots, changed pedal, tac (pedal box) even throttle body and it won't work, ecm and engine came from 2004 truck. Any ideas?

Did you modify the harness or did you put a swap specific harness?

Before I blame the tuner (which I will, just not yet).

Scan for codes; are you throwing any P or U codes?
Check the purple and yellow wires off the throttle body, and make sure they haven't pulled out of the connector or broken.
Reset the battery, try again. Do you get throttle response even a *single* time?

Because you said you've replaced parts; where did they come from? Having as closely matched set of TB, Pedal, TAC, ECM, is ideal. If you start throwing parts at it, you can actually ADD problems instead of taking them away. What year did the pedal and tac come from?

The tac and pedal that I put on it came from a 2001 suburban that my brother let me use, I haven't scanned for codes yet

2001 did not have dbw , so it could not have been from a 2001 suburban

I'm pretty sure an 01' TAC and Pedal will not work with an 04' PCM. You need an 03-05' pedal and TAC.

^^^^^^ This. But I'm 100% sure that the all plastic TAC from a 2002 and older engine won't work with an '04 PCM. You will need a TAC from a 03-05.

I guesz im wrong but ive never seen on i service alot of these at work and pre03 all i have ever seen are dbc

from what i have seen the trucks and suvs with traction control got dbw there definitely were not many that came dbw. Hope that might explain why you havent seen any. :).

Fixed the issue guys, tac module was wrong, I had to go another one so I picked up a 04 model, also there was a faulty wire from the tac to pedal, did some soldering and now it runs like a champ

Glad you found it. So just so we're clear for guys reading this; the 2001 TAC you borrowed (however unusual) did NOT properly interchange with your 2004 pedal/tb/ecm. Correct?

Then you had a separate issue with the actual tac->pedal harness, as well.

Always frustrating to have overlapping problems.
