anyone know about 73 El Camino's ?

I know this is a pickup truck forum but I'm hoping to find someone with knowledge of 73 El Camino's. In searching for parts I have run across a 73 El Camino with a factory 4 speed. Anyone have any idea how many were made with a 4 speed? I've never seen one until now... not in the 73 to 77 style anyways. It is not an ss and is a small block car. Just trying to figure out if it is rare or has much value over any other 73 elky.
Thanks

I remember test driving a used factory 73 4 speed El Camino before I bought my '80 factory 4 speed El Camino. Rare doesn't always mean valuable though. Take for instance the '73 SS Chevelle Wagon. Rare, but . . . ?

Your best bet finding out any information about it would be do jump on the Chevelles.com/forum. I'm sure you will get a wealth of info about what your looking for over there. As you would about a pickup/blazer/suburban on this site.

Agree with maybe hard too find or they didn't make as many, but i wouldn't think any 73-77 elcamino would be big money unless it was a really low mileage car. Sounds neat tho. you should post a pic ! Somebody somewhere is looking for their 4 spd elky they bought in high school and you could of just helped them out. LOL.

I thought about a Cheverly or El Camino forum and did a search as a guest on a couple of them but came up empty. I'm a member here and thought someone here might have some info. I didn't want to join another forum just to ask if I didn't have to. Lol

Thanks for the replies so far:)

Exactly this. The 73-77 El Caminos were probably the least desirable out of the whole run. Not that they were terrible cars, its just the styling wasn't quite as good and they were smack in the middle of the emissions era. The "desirable" ones are usually factory BBC/4 speed ones with plenty of options.

That said, if the one you were looking at was in decent shape, I certainly wouldn't hesitate to pick it up for a good price. A 350/4 speed car would make a nice cruiser or parts hauler!
