Torrsion bar?

I am wanting to add one two my Blazer. I bought cross member and bar off an 87 suburban. Not sure if I can make it work. Thought I would ask the board for any ideas from anyone that has done this. Any ideas would be appreciated. I am looking for path of least resistance.

Off note I saw a nice looking blazer the other day in a small town and it had tow hooks. I could not believe it. I will go back soon. I am trying to find out who owns it. The truck looked pretty good, but I did not have a chance to stop and look close. I may try and buy the truck just for the hooks. If I have any luck I may have another Blazer. Problem is my wife already said NO. I will still investigat. Thanks.

There was a post a couple of weeks ago about this but as always I would also like some more info on this.

It seems I too have something in the past but, I was not interested then. I am now letting my son drive my blazer and I need it to be a little more driveable. I am sure some one can help.

why are you doing this...
are your front leaf springs just too soft, the first gens have 600lbs. to 800 lbs. leaf pac's up front cause we don't have anti sway bars, if you've changed them to soft one then you need the anti sway up front...

I want to stay in my seat when I turn at 15 mph

This has been done before, You will also need the spring plates from the 87 sub and you will have to make your own mounting points on the frame, shouldn't be too difficult, maybe you can addapt 2wd truck mounts??. Offroad Design in Glenwood Springs Colorado makes a disconnect kit for sway bars so when you go 4x'n you unhook it to get more flex. just my 2c.

Jay,
yes it can be done, I want to put the second gen truck leaf springs on my truck as they are softer, if I do this I would have to add a anti sway bar to it, I'm putting in a dana 60 and might take on the longer second gen leaf pac at that time...
