cooling system help

OK adding new 350 to my 61 new radiator with electric fan. So if I have a 195 thermostat what temp should I have the fan to turn on and off? Is the intake the best place to to put the fans thermostat ?

You will want the fans to turn on as close to the thermostat opening temp as possible. With that high of a thermostat temp, I hope you have a very efficient radiator. I prefer to run a 180 thermostat.

doesn't that depend on what pressure and coolant mixture that he is using?

At 195 your truck is going to run 200 to 210. Hope you got a good high flow fan like my Black Magic that flows 3300 cfm. I set mine at the moment the thermostat opens, hand on top tube. I run the factory V cell radiator with a 180 on a 406cui small block.
