Floor pans, pillar patches, rockers...

Hey all,

So I got new floor panels, rocker panels, front cab support, and front hinge pillar patch panels and was wondering if anyone else had ever replaced all 4. Mine were all damaged enough to warrant replacement. My question is once you put the large floor pan in and then the rocker panel and then the pillar patch it appears it would be a lot thicker than it was from the factory. Basically you have 3 panels each overlapping themselves. Should I just weld the pieces together where they meet and remove the large amount of overlap? I know that the floor panels you buy also form the inner rocker wall and the rocker panel spot welds to it along the bottom.

Yes, the lower door pillar butts up to the floor panel, and the rocker fits over the outside of the pillar.

Thanks for the info. I will work at getting them all positioned correctly for welding.
