Replacing window frames
I have searched a many thread, has anyone removed the window frame from a blazer door?
I got the back channel to come out after taken out the spot welds, but the front channel is being a pain. I drilled all the welds out of the front of the outside inner door. Are there spot welds on the inside of the door that need to be removed? I want to convert my truck doors to blazer doors and one would think that adding the plate on the back and just swapping frames would do the trick. I will post pics later today. Thoughts???? Smitty |
Re: Replacing window frames
I have a set of front channels but I didn't remove them myself got them in a bulk purchase can get some pictures if you like. You know all you have to do is cut the truck frames down that is how they did it from the factory there is copies of the assembly manual here with measurements.

Re: Replacing window frames
Pics would be nice. I really would rather swap the channels than cut the truck doors. I saw a thread where a guy did it. Just want that as a last option.
Thanks, Smitty |

Re: Replacing window frames
Thanks,
I ll pass on the frames. The ones here will be cut. Looks like someone put a truck door on the blazer and just cut it. Ill get the shims though. Smitty |
Re: Replacing window frames
The blazer doors were cut down from the factory.

Re: Replacing window frames
Yah they were just cut down, it would be a whole lot more work and a bigger chance to get it wrong if you try swapping out the frames.
