1968 swb 4x4 rolling chassis

I have a hard too find complete rolling 4x4 chassis from a 1968 short bed chevrolet truck. This will fit all 67-72 trucks. The closed knuckle front end was converted to disc brakes! no lockouts. Has both factory crossmembers. Rear upper crossmember is rusty as is a shock mount, top of a body mount. Normal stuff too fix for these years of 4x4’s. The frame is in great shape but is thin in couple spots by the crossmember that needs replaced so not bad (very easy fix). Springs are nice front/rear. 2” lift blocks in rear. Really nice frame. I've looked for a while too find one too build (seen a bunch of junk) but my 36 is going into paint and i need the room, so its got too go!!!

Comes with the following in picture ( No transmission )
front and rear drive shafts!
np205 - tore apart ready for rebuild kit
sm465/205 adapter and collar
np205 shifter
bell housing and clutch linkage

This is a great start to build that swb 4x4. I do not want too part it out. You can buy it and sell what you don't need.
It comes with the wheels and tires and rolls fine.

Do you have all the SWB K/10 I.D. stuff? What's that other crossmember for? Where are the thin spots?

Was this a step or fleet? 6 cyl or V8?

Re: 1968 swb 4x4 rolling chassis

I don't have anything title or glovebox wise. The original v.i.n. is stamped on the top rail. The body was unfortunately parted out before i got it. The gentleman told me it was a fleet, and it had a 283 in it but don't know if that was original to the truck or not. I've seen a couple other 68 k10 builds on here with the double crossmember in it. Don't know what the deal was but its there. Where the upper rear crossmember rivets too the frame on the bottom rail is thin and rusty there where it collected dirt and debris. I will take a couple pics of the crossmember this weekend and post them. If i had another crossmember i would of fixed it easily and put the new one in. Some people ( me included ) would rather do small repairs themselves because they know whats been done and want it done their way. So I'll let the next guy do it. Seen a few 68 swb 4x4's on here that people did and this frame is far better shape, just a couple small items need addressed. But like i said its just sitting and taking up space that is needed. Great start with the shafts and drivetrain parts there also.
