Another steering column question

Wanting to upgrade my column with a tilt. Is there anyone on here using a shorter column then stock? If so what lengths? kind of a big guy and wanting some extra room. Let me know. Thanks

There are about 11 threads listed in the FAQ section on column swaps: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=646002
Good luck.

I have read a lot about doing the van swap but I'm more curious if anyone is running a shorter column. Looks like a lot of columns are 35" I'm wondering if anyone is running anything less and how it looks

I'm sure that with a little fabbing, you can adapt these tilts forward. And use a steering wheel w/o a deep dish. Pretty much hafta use stock st. wheel rather than after-mkt. which needs an adapter--which also becomes an extender. And any time you alter seats, you are apt to move closer to st. wheel again!

Don't think many would even notice the looks, esp. after tilting upward when you exit cab.

I too like the comfort from leg- and belly-room!
