SPID/options questions

Have a pic of a SPID for my father's 1970 wrecker. Not much on it, but the truck has power steering and power brakes and they aren't listed. Would they have been added on later? Would it had not come with a radio? The engine would have been a 307, right?

The am radio is on the spid. Yes, the truck has/had a 307. Ps PB may be dealer or owner added.

The SPID for my 69 Burb lists power steering but not power brakes and it came factory with both.

Re: SPID/options questions

You are correct on everything. If the P/S and P/B aren't listed it didn't come with them from factory. The AM radio was an option and this truck lists it. It's a V8 model with no option listed, so it would have come with a 307

OOPS ~ .

I need to bush up my reading comprehension skills (red face) .

Back on topic : when new , I was always surprised by how often the SPID didn't match the actual equipments .

Thanks fellas. Cool to be able to nail down the original equipment with these trucks.

This was a tow truck and plow truck. Still has the plow and there is an electric winch in the bed you can't see in the picture. The wrecker unit is gone.

Is the sticker common to find on the 4x4s?

Re: SPID/options questions

Yes, that sticker was affixed by the factory on all 4X4's. I've seen them on glove box door, on ceiling near windshield..I guess anywhere the laboror decided that day.
