Anyone running 15x12 rims on a 68 stepside?

What size tires? Any pics?
I can widen the fenders if needed :)
Thanks,
Dave

I have 15 x 12 welds on a 72 short fleet side. Do you have coils or leaf springs ? The tubs have been widened. These wheels on the rear have 8" backspacing. The tires are 13x28 x 15 street slicks. There is clearance between the trail arm and the inside of the wheel ,,, I think I could actually run a 9" back space if I would modify the bracket that holds the E-brake cable . Then maybe go with a 14" wheel ! LOL !

No frame mods for those fat tires? I was under the impression you couldn't do more than maybe a 5 inch back space on a 10 inch wheel on the fleet side... If you was able to do it then Ill be going wider myself...

Thanks, K20. Cool truck!

I had been torn between 10s and 12s. Seeing your truck from the back convinced me to go with the 12s. What do your tires read on the side walls and what brand?

I replaced the leaf springs with new coil overs and 4 bar with pan hard.

Any other pics out there? Please do tell us the tire size and brand.

Thanks again

My truck has coil springs ,,, I don't think you can fit that offset on a leaf spring truck. The angle of the trail arms allows the deep back spacing. With leaf springs running parallel with the frame I don't know if they would clear . The tires are M/T ET street slicks. 28x13.5x15 .
