You are more likely to get replies in the Blazer forum. Here's the link.

Re: Storing hard top

There is a thread on the blazer forum somewhere about building a rig, suspended by a hoist in the garage ceiling, to raise and lower one's hardtop off of and onto their blazer.

I plan to build something like that in my garage for putting the cover on the back of my truck without help.

Here is a thread that has what I did - low tech and low cost.

Re: Storing hard top

My bud 68timber recently took care of his roof storage ? For his 85 blazer cucv. I think he has pics and description over in the 73-87 blazer and burbs forum. He has a low roof carport so he screwed a couple of 2x4s to the sides with hinges to fold them up out of the way when not in use. He backs up to them and slides the top off the truck onto the wood rack/arms.
Look for 68timber on that forum for the low down.
