Added another to the herd.....

I guess I'm a hoarder, but I can't pass up a bargain and I have plenty of room for storage. Just found this 70 CST on CL for 1K. Rust free original paint. Owner was having some mechanical issues and was very motivated. I'm going to swap the bed on my HighLander since this one has a bedside tool box. (door was on it-I removed it for security reasons...)

Heck of a deal. I'd be in serious trouble if I had space.

Good deal! A really nice tool box door is probably worth half the price.....

It's a nice door but was screwed on since the hinges were bent up. I'll have to try and rebuild the hinges or find some. There was no fiberglass box but I have one with brackets. Best thing is that the bed and tailgate are rust free and pretty straight. The bed on my HighLander looks nice but has some rust outs in the bed floor.

Doc-The ignition key doesn't work on the tool box lock. Were they originally the same key? How tough is it to make a key that works or re-key the lock to match the ignition? Thanks

If I had the space, I'd definitely have at least 1 lwb and one panel truck by now EVEN THOUGH my truck is still in pieces.

I have never been able to come up with a definite answer for this question, but I don't think they were. "Most" of the ones I have had and/or worked on used the oval head key instead of the rectangular head key. If your ignition key will slide into the lock cylinder it can be re-keyed to work with it. See if there is a 4 number/letter combination stamped into the outside of the lock cylinder case. It will look something like the picture below....
