"The Great Pumpkin" Build
I bought this 1964 Service truck north of Atlanta a couple of weeks ago. It has a 250 inline with a 4 speed in the floor. Looks like it had some sort of PTO on it at one time because it has another shifter coming out of the hump beside the 4 speed shifter.
The driver's door frame is bent, so I have another piece coming from DPowers to cut and weld it in place. I'd like to find another orange fender to replace the driver's side one. Plans: 5.5/7 or 4.5/6 drop, whichever will work the best(lowest), disc brake kit on the front, 700r4, swapping everything over to 6 lug, and I've already purchased a set of 22 inch transit wheels. My only concern is can I go 7 in the rear? also concerned about the weight of this thing and how it will ride. http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/m...psa6aw6clq.jpg http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/m...psyknozqwg.jpg http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/m...psnzwud53c.jpg http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/m...psuhavew0u.jpg http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/m...psjxn0oiax.jpg http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/m...pshwytuhwq.jpg http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps7lxx1iu2.jpg |
Re: "The Great Pumpkin" Build
That "other shifter" should be your ebrake, trucks 20 series and up had a floor mounted ebrake

Re: "The Great Pumpkin" Build
That's cool. I think I saw this truck on Craigslist when I've been looking for parts.

Re: "The Great Pumpkin" Build
Love to see the "work" trucks being built. I will be watching this. Can you tell why the rear bumper is so far out?
