Pictures of your dark cast iron grey exhaust manifolds please?

Hi guys, looking for a dark grey cast iron paint for my 305 v6's exhaust manifolds and am having one heck of a time finding the color. Was trying to find some through VHT or Duplicolor.

TJ--ck out Eastwood. I have used the stainless paint that comes in a can, kinda medium gray, but there might be a dark gray also. It's been awhile sense i used it. a little pricey but goes a long way, comes in a pint. also rub on calx thats cast iron color.

Here's my manifolds in Eastwood exhaust paint. Not sure about dark, but at least it hasn't rusted:

Do the manifolds have to come off to be blasted, or can they just be cleaned up in place? Wire brush, scotchbrite?

I used POR manifold paint that I got at jegs or Summit. It has been on about 18 months and still looks good. I took off the exhaust manifolds and wire brushed them, then painted.

Here are some pictures of my L6 manifolds and a VIDEO too. That was my worn out 250ci but it sure did run good. I use a paste called Calyx. It is not a paint. I'm pretty sure many different vendors sell it. Apply and touch up with an old tooth brush. It will not flake or chip since it isn't a paint. I think it's just a paste with graphite mixed in, but I could be wrong. Anyway, it lasts about 6 months before touch up is needed (depending on humidity etc.). It gives a cast iron look. I also use it on cast iron parts like brake master cylinders etc.

The nice thing is that you can touch it up without removing the parts or masking other parts like would be necessary with spray paint.

Just mentioning this as an option. Not saying it's better. It is what I prefer over high temp paint.

Another vote for Calyx dressing. I've used it on a few projects and it looks better than paint and can be touched up if needed.

Hi guys! Went to the local Napa today and have a can of VHT cast iron grey on the way. I know it's not the best out there but I want to get back to driving my 64 daily. Thanks for the pictures and helps guys!

I think the VHT cast iron gray paint is really nice but I've never used it on a manifold. Good luck and it should work fine. Cheaper than Calyx for sure.
