Help Project?

1 Attachment(s)
Hello,

I'm really wanting to get a C10 and do an LS swap, I've been station in Japan for the last 20 years. My son is now 15 and I want to do a project together. I found one for a decent deal, just want some opinions on if this is too far gone for the average DIYer.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Whats the price?
Fyi, rockers, cab corners and 1/2 floors would be about $2g without paint for a decent body guy to fix without paint.
Lsx swap will be around $5g for a shop to do as well.

If you have the talent or stones, you could do both around $3g if done right and all diy.

It's a 66 C10 Fleetside short bed no engine or mission for $1700

Depending on what the rest of the truck looks like, but from what is shown, I think $1700.00 is high.

That is going to depend on what your skills are and what equipment you have. That cab needs what looks to be an entire floor. Even more that what patch panels are going to take care of. So you are looking at fabricating some of the floor from 18 ga. steel sheet.

At least they are being honest and showing all the rust in the bottom, far too many Craigslist sellers would mask it all up and sell it as "95% rust free"
