..has anyone tried this from LMC ? if so are there any negatives? I hope the pic comes over

Re: Under-dash hood latch
That is pretty neat. I have an aftermarket grill with no latch access and have to crawl in between the grill and rad everytime I pop the hood. (which is a LOT)
So, I'm also interested to hear if anybody has used this. |
Re: Under-dash hood latch
I believe this is brand new not even available yet. I just received an email from LMC about pre-ordering.

Re: Under-dash hood latch
Sounds like cheap insurance to help keep the unwanted from under the hood. My first thought was how to open the hood when/if the cable breaks. Think I'll wait for some feed back and more information before I get all excited and invest.

Re: Under-dash hood latch
You could always attach an "Emergency" additional cable, sort of like the inside trunk release.at least you could get it open if the other fails.

Re: Under-dash hood latch
I'd imagine the cable is just as stout as the one in every modern car that uses a cable release...

Re: Under-dash hood latch
i can understand the want for one (not for me personally, yet) but i think it would be better if someone could find a better way to mount the release handle inside. in the picture, it looks like it sticks out really bad. all steel dash and then a plastic handle. interested to see all of the creative minds on this board work their skills on these
