Best riding Lift Kit for k10

I'm looking to put 33x12.50 BFG all terrian tires on a set of 15x8 slotted mags. What's the best lift kit for the money? I want a good ride. Also, what size of lift would look good with a 33x12.50? I was thinking 4" to look similar to see ten's k10 build, and red baron's k10 build.

I like the tuff country front springs on my 70. With only 8" wide rims you can get the 2.5" springs.

I prefer a 2.5" lift.... of course go with what you like, it is your truck. I can't compare ride quality because I'm only familiar with my Softrides. Smoother ride than OEM and quality still seems great after quite a few years.

Well seems like a lot of people like their skyjacker soft ride kits. I'm confused which one I should get, on their website it shows 3 different 4" lift kits with leafs and says shocks included. But I can't tell the difference. Any help?

Alright I think I figured out the difference, it's the different shock absorbers included. They have hydro, nitro, or monotube. Well what's the difference?

I can't remember the difference for sure but I ordered the 2.5" skyjacker soft ride and I am happy with the ride. I think I went with the middle of the road shocks. It was a little confusing to me also so I called and they were very helpful but I had to order online.

I plan on going 4" with my k30. I need front springs and rear blocks. Probably use softride as well. Before I had tuff country and it ride pretty good as well.

On my 86 GMC i swapped out the rancho 4" softride springs (rancho 86206) 520lb/in, for Tuff Country 4" ez rides (TCI-C4M) 295lb/in, the ride is night and day difference.
Attached is the spring rate chart for 73-87 Trucks by lift kit manufacturer.

I have used Tuff Country EZ-Rides on several trucks and they are the best spring for the money...and made in the USA. Both trucks you showed have 10" wide wheels, BTW. I guess you already have your 8" ones, but can't beat the look of those deep dish slots.

Actually I have a great set of 15x10's and only 2 15x8's right now. But I'm not sold on the 10's due to the offset. I don't know the offset but I don't want my tires sticking way out.

Anybody used tuff country and skyjacker? Which do you prefer? I'd rather spend more and get a better setup.

I guess that's what I was saying, you can spend more money but you won't get a better ride with off the shelf springs. No, I haven't run the Skyjacker soft rides, but that's because I couldn't be happier than I am with EZ-Rides. No reason to shop around. I've run lift kits since they came out. My first truck I lifted there was no lift kit offered for, so I arched them on an anvil and added a new leaf...which was basically what the store-bought were. My first set were Burbank Spring. For the first 20 years nobody talked about ride, only how high. You won't be dissatisfied with the EZ-Rides. There is nothing better offered off the shelf. And, at least for me, it means all the world that these springs are made right here in the USA. I'm not sure about the others, but I figure if they were they'd be boasting about it cuz guys driving American iron, I'd like to think, would be one group that matters to.

I don't know if the Skyjackers listed on that chart are their Softrides, but if they are the proof is in the stats. Tuff Country has a very unique design, unless the others have copied.

We are a dealer for both Tuff Country and Skyjacker.....I put Tuff Country on my truck.

Those are the Skyjacker softrides listed on that chart noted by the S at the end of the part number.

Also, can't compare 2.5" lift with 4". Obviously, any 2.5" lift is going to ride pretty well against any 4". The original springs are flat to negative arch, so it doesn't take much arch to give 2.5" of lift. As you go up, the more the spring design matters. I've had spring shops lift the front by arching and adding a new leaf and that didn't hurt the ride at all. It made it less wimpy...handled more flat with less pitch/dive/roll, but no harsh ride over bumps. This was on our family car, a '90 Blazer.
