14 bolt help
I'm redoing my suspension on my 14 bolt and have to get new spring plates for the rear. It is a dually axle so it takes the plates on the bottom. Anyone know if anyone remakes these? I had a set to go on top but can't use less than a 3" block to clear and don't want to lift it. Tube diameter is 3-3/8" if I remember right...

Re: 14 bolt help
Lots of places. Most anywhere that carries off road fab parts should have them. Here are some from Ruff Stuff. http://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/...UB-PLATES.html
You might also try Barnes 4wd. http://www.barnes4wd.com/U-Bolts-U-B...ates_c_37.html |

Re: 14 bolt help
Tecrsq thank you. Since you redone your rear end, how did you do your brakes on the rear? My leaf springs are above my bleeder screws.

Re: 14 bolt help
My truck was purchased from a Fire Dept and only had 34,000 miles on it, as a FD vehicle it had regular maintenance. The rear brakes were fine upon inspection and I haven't done anything to them as it all looked freshly replaced.
Also I'm looking at the Ruff Stuff brackets and a rear disk application for my truck, to replace the drum setup. |
Re: 14 bolt help
I want to do rear disks but is too expensive atm and my drums and shoes are in alright enough shape still. When they need replacing I will probably go disks... I'll figure something out.
