Wrong Radiator?
I picked up a new radiator for my truck and I am worried it is not going to be able to cool my big block.. According to the catalogs the radiator for my truck is spectra CU369 which is the one I ordered and what is on the box.
The specs say the core should be 2 5/16 thick. Looking at the unit I received the core is only 1 3/4 thick. Am I measuring in the right spot? https://photos.smugmug.com/Cars/Rand...IMG_0133-L.jpg |

Yeah, I don't think that could cool my toaster. I have a built 383 stroker and mine is a 3 core alum about 2-1/2 to 3" thick

Re: Wrong Radiator?
I'm using this in my 72 with a ZZ4 TPI. No problems at all cooling the engine and me with the A/C on in "HOT West Texas".

Re: Wrong Radiator?
Try it and see. I kinda went overboard on my replacement radiator but mainly since it was on sale.
250 I6 with 4 row radiator. Correction! I don't think the 4 row radiator I bought is going to work.........it seems to set up too high for the brackets so I am going to look into a KKS, Champion, or having my original recored. Welcome to the world of "first time truck rebuild." |
