1970 Green Machine

Hi All. I've been a lurker for a long time now, getting great ideas from this forum while fixing up my Dad's 1970 C10. He was the ORIGINAL and ONLY owner....until now. I'm in the process of a garage restomod in the hopes of making it a daily driver with style. Here are some pics of where I'm at with it...

Very nice truck already!
5-lug conversion, 71-72 sport mirrors, lowered suspension,...
What are your plans for it?

Thanks Kevin! It's a work in progress, and still tweaking the stance, but it has come a long way. Much thanks to guys like you on this forum for all the useful help.

Thanks Lolife! It's an original AC truck, so I'd like to get that back to functional (probably with a new compressor) because these Austin, TX summers are brutal. Then, 700r4 to make it daily-driveable. It's got 3.73 posi in the rear, so an overdrive should make it behave on the freeway, yet still fun at the stoplights. I had been itching to put a short bed on it, but now that it's lowered right, I'm really warming up to the longbed.

Got exhaust done yesterday. Didn't get a final pic of the exhaust while it was up on the lift, but in essence I used ECE shorty headers (Sanderson) and ran the pipes through the crossmember (this was a PITA to cut). Also put an H-pipe after and on top of the crossmember due to space limitations. (Aint there something sexy about a truck up on a lift?)
