on my 69 gmc my front lamp harness has this on both sides and doesnt show in my wiring diagram. they carry 4amp fuses. what do they protect?

They're for the BATT gauge. Basically that gauge reads both sides of the circuit and displays wether your battery is charging or discharging. I won't got into it any further. Do a search and you'll find lots of info. And it's imperative that the correct fuses are used or it won't work.

Yeah I think I found them within a variety pack at the parts store.

i found "buss" fuses, guy had like 30 new, i grabbed them. i love this site. its helped alot. thanx again!

I pulled old fuses on mine and all the other harnesses I have and all are 4amp
