Re: Maryhill
Only two AD trucks and one square body early 60's at the show. Lots of boring late model Corvettes and Mustangs and some real interesting older race cars or pre war (WWII) performance cars .
So the two ADs got lots of Mr48's camera's Jean sporting her sunglasses that she thinks are the hot lick. http://www.stovebolt.com/ubbthreads/...Number=1044877 This pushed and AD to the show http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w...L/IMG_0394.jpg http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w...L/IMG_0403.jpg I want this setup on my 292 http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w...L/IMG_0404.jpg http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w...L/IMG_0405.jpg http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w...L/IMG_0407.jpg This looks comfortable http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w...L/IMG_0408.jpg http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w...L/IMG_0410.jpg Very discrete but interesting pinstriping. The striping is detail work for the truck rather than the truck being the background for the striping. http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w...L/IMG_0411.jpg |
Re: Maryhill
The rest of the photos including the ones of the red first series 55 are here in the album.
some great stuff and some somewhat boring but cool stuff. The show draws a lot of Corvettes, Minis, Mustangs and odd ball stuff like older Saabs It also has the cars that will run in the Maryhill Hill climb on the oldest paved road in the state of Washington tomorrow. The show is on the grounds of Maryhill museum built by railroad baron Sam Hill for his wife overlooking the Columbia river. Beautiful views and some great wineries within a few miles. There were enough vendors with trinkets for the ladies to keep the most jaded wife or girlfriend busy for a couple of hours and make a big dent on the budget. Oldest car was a 1909 and the newest may have been a Corvette just old enough to have gotten it's actual plate. I don't take photos of Corvettes unless they have something very special going on such as the black one in the album that has raced at Maryhill every year I have been to the event. Take the time to look at the album as there is some really interesting stuff in it no matter how hard core you are about only looking at photos of Chevy trucks. http://s173.photobucket.com/user/mr4...?sort=2&page=1 |

Re: Maryhill
On a sad note as I was leaving the show around noon,a few milles west there was a fatal motorcyles wreck.Me and my friend were stopped on the hwy about a 100' feet from wreck.A young man came over to my truck looking for a lighter. He was crying and told me his Dad was dead, whish I could have done more for the Kid

Re: Maryhill
I heard about the wreck at the show and the ambulance rolled out of Goldendale just as we were coming out of Goldendale after eating breakfast.
I got to watch the Hill climb cars come rolling in in parade fashion and got the photos of them but have to work today so I can't go back for the hillclimb. Had a couple of sport bikes blow past me on the left side as I was pulling over in the turn lane with my signal on when we ran up to the winery after leaving the show. They tend to take far too many chances on that road with as much traffic as there is on it. |
