383 4l80e in the 6cyl mount position

Has anyone installed a 4l80e behind a small block in the 6 cyl mount position? I have search and can not find any info on this. The cap is off the frame getting paint and I would like to have drivetrain installed before its reinstalled.

I have my ls engine set way back and still have room for the 4l80 and a low hump. I think you should be fine.

Thanks 72Mario for the info. Did you set you mounts close to where the 6 cyl mounts go? Do you have any pics?

Why not forward in V8 position and make life easier? Nice to have room to work on distributor and the O/D trans is longer anyway.
