GMC C1500 Solenoid issues?

Hey guys im having some issues with my truck, about 50% of the time i drive my truck, once im driving my guages will stop working, the light that tells you what gear you are in stops working, and if feels like im in 3rd, truck doesnt shift, and no over drive, start and stops like its in 3rd. feels horrible, if i try and shift 1,2,3 on the colume its a bad clunky shift. have to pull over and restart truck to get everything back then it usually happends again. engine light is on. i get tones of solenoid faults. now it only happens 50% of the time. you guys think its solenoids or another electrical issue such as a bad ground.

thanks for your help

What year is the truck? If its 95 or newer, I would suspect the ignition switch. There is a circuit that supplies power to a lot of the transmission circuits. That circuit is one of the first to fail.
