New to me truck

Just picked up a 1988 C1500 Long Bed. I'm pretty excited about it. 270,000 miles, engine and trans have 30,000 miles. Runs and shifts like a dream. Needs some things here and there. Owner gave me all of the parts for the entire front end. I just need some time to install everything and get an alignment. I have a lot of light bulbs to replace. Most of them are burned out. I have a short list of things to replace or fix, but other than that, it's in excellent condition. The repaint is about 5-10 years old. It's not perfect, but looks great from 5 feet away.

Feels good having a truck again. My last truck, a 1966 C10 short bed I was working on was damaged in a freak F3 tornado on 12/26/2015 that went thru my neighborhood. Completely destroyed the house and the truck took on significant damage. I sold off what was left of the truck and bought this truck as a replacement. After going thru so much heartache over the last 9 months, this truck has been healing for me and my family.

Well. Here it is...

Good looking truck. I like the two tone and colors.

Looks like a good straight starting point. V6, 305, or 350? My first truck that actually belonged to me was an '88 K1500 V6. Lots of fun times in that truck.

Thanks. I'm excited about it.

Yes. It has a 350 V8. Automatic trans.

My list of things to fix is really short. I think 1 trip to a Pick and Pull would take care of most of it. Really nothing major other than some broken or missing interior trim pieces, light bulbs and getting the steering linkage replaced with what the guy gave me. I could see replacing most of the weather stripping. A lot of it is cracked and dried out. Where's the best place to get a weather stripping kit for the doors?
